Application of Project Management Principles to the Management of Pharmaceutical R&D Projects

In This chapter the reader is introduced to the concepts, implementation and principles of Project Management directed towards small pharmaceutical busi- nesses, such as generic, start-up, and virtual companies. Project Teams, the back- bone of project management, its formation, components, team dynamics and member roles and responsibilities are highlighted. A paper base management sys- tem is focused on, so that small businesses can take advantage of the project man- agement system in their business model.
